Colour Shield protects your car paint for years
while other products last just a few weeks! Colour Shield is not a typical "car wax or polish." It is a Patented , 2 Step Polarized Paint Protection System. Colour Shield adds a layer of durable PTFE (ptfe is a non stick durable coating also found in your cookware ) to your vehicle's finish, creating strength and sealing out pollutants. Hello, Just a quick note to say how impressed I am with the finish on my car, after applying Colour Shield Paint Protection. My car has never looked better! Although it's 12 Months old, the finish looks as new. I just spent the week-end in hot dry New South Wales, when I arrived home the car was covered with insects from a locust plague. No effort at all to clean. She shines brighter than other vehicles, the surface looks and feels as smooth as silk. How is Colour Shield different from other products! The technology is similar as the "bar magnet" principle that opposite poles attract. The wash solution (polarizer step 1) cleans the pores of the paint and imparts a positive charge to it. (This can be visualised in photo 2 below)
The PTFE (step 2) is negatively charged and is thus pulled into the pores of the paint. (This can be visualised in photo 3 above). Only PTFE formulated in an anionic aqueous solution can seal paint. Other forms of PTFE will have no effect, hence we protected the formula by patent. The secret of Colour Shield's durability, is its patented formula to keep this PTFE, on your paintwork so what is PTFE and what are the benefits of this product. PTFE stands for Polytetrafluorethylene. From a chemical point of view PTFE consists of one long carbon chain, surrounded by fluor atoms that form a protective housing. This stable chemical structure determines the outstanding protective properties of Colour Shield's PTFE application. The PTFE Advantage PTFE shows superb stability even under high temperatures and in the presence of solvents, oils, oxidants, ultra violet rays and other influences of the operating environment. (melting point is 327 °C or 620 °F) PTFE has excellent anti-adhesive properties. PTFE is extremely resistant to the influence of the most corrosive organic and inorganic chemical compounds. PTFE is Noncombustible and has a low heat conduction capacity. PTFE has an extremely low friction coefficient. PTFE has absolute resistance during a long stay in water. This Product is amazing! I work on an Idustrial site and after I applied the Paint Protection I noticed less dust on my car.
